Task: Create ONE sequence of images comprises between 6-9 photographs that tells a linear photo narrative. While a single photo may tell part of a story, a photo narrative expands the experience to paint a larger picture.
Learning Objectives:
1. Use photographic representation techniques to communicate ideas.
2. Understand and overcome constrains of visual representations.
Synopsis:
Round One:
As can be seen on the storyboard and the round one collage, I intended for Forxie to be with another Fork. However during the tutorial, one of my classmates suggested to change the Fork BF to a Spoon so that the ending has more impact - Spoony changed himself for nothing, he should have just be himself, which most of us should be instead of focusing on being racist.
The collage takes up the form of comic, the arrangement is typical of comic and it will be easy for readers to catch the flow of the collage. Being in a comic form also makes it more interesting and fun to 'read'.
Initially, I've tried shooting almost the whole pari of scissors, however I find that it is ugly, and tried zooming into only the knife of the scissors which I find effective as the essence and main portion of the scissors is still there, and readers can focus on the facial expression and emotion of Spoony rather then the pair of scissors and the process only. The final prototype's picture allows readers to associate and understand that what Spoony has gone through is actually quite painful and traumatizing.
The last frame I have tried on focusing two different subjects. The first one on Spoony, the second on the couple. I find that focusing on the couple is more effective as Spoony is already in the foreground and the attention. People will already noticed him and the blur is still enough to see his emotions. The couple at the back however is on the background, hence people might not notice it and treat it as the environment of the background. By focusing on the couple also make the readers first see what Spoony sees too and feel the same way as Spoony.
These pictures also have it's flaws, other then the red and green contrast being too annoying and distracting, the spoon's head is being covered by the leaves and readers might not be able to tell that the boyfriend is a spoon!
Of course I took much more than these, however here are some other camera angles I've explored. You may click on the image to enlarge.=)
Taking pictures of Spoony & Forxie and other forks is no easy task. I have to find ways of making them stand without being able to make it looks as if they are controlled by hands etc...
Methods of such includes
1. Holding them on hand when it's CU shots and hand is to be out of frame
2. Using blue-tacks and play doughs to stick them on the ground
3. Poking Spoony into holes on the wooden plank
4. Pushing Spoony against the wall with the metal container (at the desk)
5. Lying them against objects e.g. leaves of the plant

Did you see what I see?
Synopsis: Fork & Spoon seems like a heavenly pair. Humans always put them together, but most of us didn't know that the race of Fork & Spoon are in conflict for the longest time since who-knows-when.
Being born a Spoon isn't Spoony's choice however fate has its way of torturing him.
Spoony has fallen in love with Forxie whom he shouldn't have. Forxie is the most beautiful Fork in Forks Kingdom, and the only child of Fordue, the founder of Fordue Inc.
In hopes to marry Forxie, Spoony went all out to the extent of an irreversible plastic surgery. Did he make the right choice, or he should have just be himself?

Story decoded:
Spoony peeping at Forxie, a girl whom he likes (nb. this place where Forxie is only has Forks)
Spoony at his room/house, looking at a picture of Forxie which he framed and decorated with red hearts. (nb. there's a collage of Forxie photos on the wall pasted in the shape of a heart)
Spoony going somewhere - to find Forxie & propose! (nb. he is holding a Pinkish Purple Bear, an intended present for Forxie)
Spoony is really sad and realised that he is being despised on because he is of another race. The Forks are all laughing and pin-pointing at him. He didn't even make it for the proposal to Forxie (nb. the Pinkish Purple Bear is dropped, & LOOK AT THE LIGHTING! I used a bed side lamp for that effect!=D There's even a second story on the left foreground)
Spoony returns home and CRIES! Look at the number of tissues and his smudged pen ink.
Spoony has got a bright idea! (nb. there really was a torch light shining in the picture, therefore you can see the reflection. The light bulb and wall is photoshopped on)
And the great idea is...An IRREVERSIBLE PLASTIC SURGERY to....
Become a Fork! He is confident now =)
(nb. There's a bouquet of flowers on the floor, an present for Forxie)
Spoony went to find Forxie, only to realise that she is already attached. What's worse? Her boyfriend is a Spoon! He went for a plastic surgery all for nothing! (nb. look! He is carrying the flowers. & Forxie's boyfriend is actually wearing a Gold Bow, different from Spoony's, which matches Forxie's hair clip 0.0 )
